My Story
A Girl next door (Inspiring women with word power)
Living a life of choice and doing what you like is a luxury which few can afford. The rest try to adjust to whatever life offers them and some out of those live lives with regrets.
I am a girl next door who was born in comfortable circumstances but of course not out of choice but God gifted. Right from childhood I have lived in my own imaginary world far from the real world outside. After completing my education I got a good corporate job and was doing pretty well in it. Setting and achieving targets, getting recognition, being paid was keeping me satisfied and sustained my life. Looking after my job and family was keeping me busy but there was some corner in my heart which urged me to do something which gave me true happiness or if I put correctly, bring contentment. Whenever I closed my eyes I would look at myself being surrounded by books and writing or reading something.
So after quitting my job I kept on my search for inner self. At the same time I suffered some health problems and was advised by Doctor to start exercising and not make friends with medicines. During that time I learnt the art of meditation and reiki. My interests in well being kept growing and my masters in Yoga and a Diploma in naturopathy.I have been regular in my yoga and exercise regime for the last many years. I have also been practicing Buddhism for the last 20 years and it has helped me purify my own life and develop compassion for other lives.
In the process of my self discovery, I realized that I want to do something for the women who are in the same predicament as me. . As I progressed in life I understood the challenges women are facing in respect of mental physical health. I wrote a fiction novel about the life of a woman sharing her life from childhood to adulthood. Now, I have come up with another book, Pranayam & Meditation. The book is on a subject close to my heart. I have been practicing for the last so many years and now I want to take it further and help middle aged women to practice and empower their lives by discovering and recognizing their true self. I wish all my women sisters are healthy and happy in all spheres of life.
